Pete Davidson Gives up His ‘Paradise’ for Family’s Sake
Pete Davidson appears to be fully embracing fatherhood and making major choices with that role at the front of his mind.
Since welcoming his daughter, Scottie Rose, with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, the “Bupkis” star has been open about how becoming a dad has changed him. Now, those changes are showing up in his priorities too.
In his latest move, Davidson has reportedly linked fatherhood to his decision to part with his 2023 home.
Why Pete Davidson Is Moving Away From His ‘Paradise’ Home

After three years in his Westchester County retreat, which he purchased for $1.95 million, the “SNL” alum is ready to move on.
The North Salem property, sitting on more than six acres and featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a gym, sauna, and scenic surroundings, is now on the market for $2.28 million.
Davidson gushed about the property and the environment, telling Mansion Global, “It’s literally like living in paradise.” He shared that North Salem felt peaceful and perfect compared to the noisy chaos of New York City life.
“I would wake up naturally, and I wouldn’t feel a thing; it was the most special feeling,” Davidson said, adding that most people there minded their business and didn’t bother him.
The comedian admitted he feels sad about leaving his “hip, funky cool place” where he made memories, including filming his podcast and learning he was about to become a father. However, he has his reasons for parting with the property.
His little girl, Scottie Rose, is the reason behind Davidson’s decision to sell, as the distance from his extended family in Staten Island and New Jersey has made the commute difficult.
Pete Davidson Discovered His Fiercely Protective Dad Instinct

Davidson’s decision to step away from New York ties closely to the changes he has experienced since becoming a father.
Weeks ago, he opened up about traits he was discovering about himself, most notably a powerful protective instinct toward his daughter. As The Blast reported, the 32-year-old admitted the feeling caught him off guard as he was ready to throw blows for her sake.
He described the feeling as “primal,” a surprising change as he is someone who avoids confrontation. However, he had no qualms about fighting paparazzi who got too close to Scottie Rose.
Davidson’s Girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, Gets Real About Motherhood

While Davidson has been vocal about his experience, Hewitt has been equally candid, even opening up about how she grappled with motherhood, breastfeeding, and challenges about her body.
In a February cover story, the model discussed her decision not to breastfeed, addressing the stigma surrounding formula feeding.
Per The Blast, she called the stigmatization a “quiet shame,” admitting that it took her time to confront it and learn for herself the “moral hierarchy” about breastfeeding.
The mom of one said she chose formula feeding, recalling her history of health challenges and how she felt “disconnected from her body” for a long time. She added that pregnancy took a toll on her, and ultimately, she prioritized her mental well-being and chose to care for her child as she recovered.
Davidson and Hewitt Are Thinking of Having More Babies

As Davidson and Hewitt continue to navigate parenthood, the experience has only deepened their desire to expand their family. Back in January, the couple shared that they’d love for their daughter, Scottie Rose, to grow up with a sibling.
Hewitt admitted the idea came as a surprise, especially given how intense childbirth can be. “I didn’t think I would already think about having another one,” she shared, according to The Blast.
“The idea of that sounds absolutely insane right now,” she added. “The process of giving birth is so insane, but so empowering once it happens. Just having this little thing, I really can’t explain how incredible the whole thing is.”
Elsie Hewitt Revealed Her Past Pregnancy Struggles

While Hewitt was pregnant, she did not hide her challenges, sharing raw insights at it.
According to The Blast, in an update a month before her delivery, the 29-year-old disclosed she was in constant pain. “I’m in absolute agony pretty much 24/7,” she detailed.
She admitted that on some mornings, the pain was so severe she could barely walk. Despite trying multiple treatments, including acupuncture, exercise, and steroid injections, nothing seemed to bring relief.
