Los Angeles Mayor Trolls Spencer Pratt After ‘Breaking The Law’ Claims
As the Mayoral race heightens, the big question on the minds of many is whether Spencer Pratt‘s supporters are actual Los Angeles residents.
The former MTV star is going head-to-head with the incumbent Mayor, Karen Bass. Over the course of their campaign, the rivals have called each other out online on several occasions. The TV personality even included his plans to one-up the sitting Mayor in his campaign promises.
Spencer Pratt’s message has spread far and wide, gathering support from different angles, including President Donald Trump. Many industry stars continue to sing his praises and pour in financial support to fund his political aspirations.
Pratt has raised the stakes yet again in his brawl with the current L.A. Mayor by accusing her of illegally electioneering near ballot boxes. He claims that she was soliciting votes and promoting her campaign within 100 feet of polling locations.
The former reality TV star stressed that Bass’ actions translate to crossing a legal line by campaigning too close to the ballot boxes during the early voting in Los Angeles. Pratt says his claims are backed up by evidence Bass herself put before the public eye.
He alleged that the incumbent Mayor documented the whole thing on social media with several videos and photos showing ballot drop-off, supporters, and campaign signs geared towards encouraging eligible voters to cast their ballot in her favor.
“Soliciting votes at a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. These clear violations show a reckless disregard for the rule of law and for our democratic process,” the father of two wrote in a fiery post on X. He further noted that he thinks Bass has gotten too comfortable with breaking the rules in public.
Los Angeles Mayor Trolled Pratt’s ‘AI Cartoons’ Supporters

The video uploaded to TMZ shows Bass addressing a group of her supporters holding placards right before going to cast her vote. At the ballot station, another group of people were seen chanting in her support.
Pratt called her action at the polling station disrespectful to the democratic laws, adding that it was “emblematic of Karen’s mafia-like regime.” He claimed that she is moving to the tune of “rules for thee, but not for me,” seemingly implying that Bass feels she is above the law.
The aspiring Mayor revealed that he has filed a complaint which asks the City Clerk’s Office and City Attorney to investigate and prosecute the alleged violations “to the furthest degree.” It should be noted that under California law, electioneering, including soliciting votes or displaying campaign materials, is prohibited within 100 feet of polling places and ballot drop-off locations.
Bass’ team clapped back at Pratt’s claims, saying that they follow the rules. Her campaign spokesperson, Alex Stack, said, “Spencer is just mad that his supporters are AI cartoons and we have real Angelenos.”
Karen Bass Previously Addressed Spencer Pratt’s AI Campaign Ads

Earlier this month, Bass spoke up about her opponent’s campaign ads, which were gaining ground on social media. She expressed that the content left her troubled due to the dangers that may follow if they spread to the eyes and ears of disturbed individuals.
Bass explained that the ad, which cast her as The Joker and Pratt as The Dark Knight, was “taking on a violent turn” and may contribute to unforeseeable dangers. The incumbent Mayor explained that the contents sparked her concern because “when your messages are so hateful, or when you demonize people, then you do provoke people who are unstable.”
As reported by The Blast, the politician did not support the message portrayed by the motion pictures. She noted that the narrative of Pratt as a superhero does not align with reality, as real people need to take action to create change.
‘The Hills’ Alum’s Inexperience Has Been A Pawn Against His Mayoral Race

Bass has previously expressed that Los Angeles needs seasoned hands to run the City and not a newbie in the system, taking a jab at Pratt’s clean portfolio for the office he is contesting for. A few other notable people share the same thoughts, including the father of two’s sister, Stephanie.
While many industry stars have pledged their support to Pratt and his political aspirations, a few others do not have complete faith in him owing to his inexperience as a politician or government official. Former reality TV star Lisa Rinna expressed her thoughts on the 2026 American Music Awards red carpet.
The Blast reported that “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum noted that she is a very political person. When asked who she thinks should lead L.A. next, she said she was unsure of who could potentially succeed Bass, but career history should be taken into deep consideration.
Even though Rinna admitted that Pratt had a good chance of winning, her stance remained “Not a reality star, though. I’m sorry. I love him, but we’ve already done that. We’re not gonna do that again.”
Later in the conversation, she reiterated that she has no hard feelings for “The Hills” alum, saying, “I love him, I think he’s amazing. I just think we did that. Let’s have someone that’s already been Mayor.”
What Are Spencer Pratt’s Plans If He Faces Defeat?

Pratt has given his all to his political ambition and has high hopes of coming out on top. The former reality TV star recently revealed his plans in case he does not emerge victorious in the ongoing Mayoral race. The Blast shared that the father of two is seriously considering relocating from Los Angeles if Bass returns for a second tenure.
“If Karen Bass gets re-elected or Nithya [Raman] gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in LA,” he expressed during a recent appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show.” Speaking further, he expressed the heartbreaking feelings he shoulders watching his kids grow up in a city that has now become a shadow of itself from his younger days
“I’ll go find somewhere my kids will not have to see naked zombies, and I can have the last American Dream somewhere,” Pratt said before stressing that he is also not considering rebuilding his life in L.A. if the power does not change hands at the head of the political affairs of the City.
Pratt, along with thousands of L.A. residents, lost their homes and properties in last year’s Pacific Palisades wildfire, which claimed twelve lives.
Will the City look into Spencer Pratt’s complaints?
