The rapper took a moment from her album promo to react to the death of the media personality, leaving some loving words for him and his fans on social media.
Cardi B’s touching tribute comes after she recorded a massive win in court in her $24 million case filed against her by Emani Ellis in 2020.

“Rolling Ray was a menace lmaoo… but he changed soo much and became so positive. I know that soul made it to heaven…You will truly be missed BIG PURRRR!!!,” Cardi declared on her X page.
The late influencer became a social media household name in 2018 when he appeared on an MTV show. Since then, Ray has become a popular name in the media for his humor, bold personality, and for creating the catchphrase “purr.”
An X subscriber agreed with Cardi’s bit about Ray flipping the script from “chaos to pure positivity,” as another commenter noted that the late influencer indeed adored the rapper.

Ray, whose real name is Juan “Raymond” Harper, passed away yesterday, September 4, according to information on Zeus Network’s Instagram page at the age of 28.
As shared by TMZ, the network on which Ray has appeared on some of their shows, described him as a “BIG-hearted, most Raw” human, who is also a star.
The network added that the personality was full of light and loving spirit, which radiated to everyone around him. “You were Unapologetically & Authentically your TRUEST Self. From your ZEUS Fam, we love, thank, & will miss you always!” the post concluded.
The late Ray did not let his physical limitations stand in the way of his influence on social media, as he branded himself “the most famous boy Inna wheelchair.”

Rolling Ray Reportedly Experienced A Slew Of Health Issues Before His Death
The late 28-year-old did not have it easy before his passing despite his bubbly personality on social media. The Mirror noted that he went in for reconstructive surgery in 2021 after he suffered severe injuries due to a fire incident that burned his face, arms, and feet.
In 2022, he suffered from COVID-19 complications and ended up in a hospital, where he battled his way out of a coma.
Two years later, in 2024, he was admitted to the hospital when he got diagnosed with pneumonia and a blood infection. He shared images of himself connected to an oxygen mask and a drip from the hospital bed.

“I was rushed from the ER to the ICU because my breathing was dropping rapidly. Went from a 86 to 72, then after 3 days in the ICU, it dropped below a 55. I was diagnosed with Pneumonia & a bad blood infection,” Ray wrote in the Instagram post.

Before her tribute to the late influencer, Cardi had hopped on Instagram to do a quick victory twerk following her huge win in court, where she beat all the charges and walked away a free bird.
As reported by The Blast, Cardi kept it cute in a polka dot blazer set and a pillow in her tummy to give the illusion of a baby bump as she danced to one of her new songs, “Bodega Baddie.” She then stripped down to her panties while shaking her derriere vigorously and wearing a big, mischievous smile on her face.

The rapper’s funny reaction to her victory came at a cost, as she admitted on social media that she missed out on her children’s first day of school due to the trial. Outside the court, the rapper informed reporters that her response to the frivolous lawsuit would be an immediate countersuit.
“Don’t you ever think that you’re going to sue me and I’m just going to settle and just give you my money. It’s not going to happen,” the Grammy winner noted.

Inside the courthouse, the rapper admitted to the judge that her clash with the security guard happened while she was four months pregnant with her child.
She recalled calling Ellis a b-tch for harassing her by recording her on a cellphone while she walked through an obstetrician’s office in Hollywood.
Although Cardi stated that she never physically attacked Ellis, she did come after a reporter outside the courthouse for asking if she was pregnant. The rapper threw a pen at the reporter, slamming him for asking a very disrespectful question, thus disrespecting her person.
“Do you see women asking those types of questions to me? Do you see women asking those questions to me?” Cardi hurled at the reporter.
